Happy New Year!

Well I have to say that so far this blog has been about as exciting as I thought it would be.  I figured I could wish everyone a Happy New year though.  There have been a few things of interest over the past few months that I've thought about blogging but I never really had any more ambition to actually log on and write about them.  For the past month or so I've been slowly reading articles about clustered computing and have been wanting to attempt on a small scale building my own cluster for none other than the purpose of learning. I also moved into an apartment about a month ago so I've been slowly working on unpacking. (I'll have to admit that my Netflix subscription has been a bit of a distraction to this process.) So without further interruption let me wish you a Happy New Year!!

Welcome to the blog of an Configuration Manager. This blog is meant to share my thoughts, ideas, and the story of my ever expanding journey to acquire knowledge. It may, at times, include rants about or an expression of excitement over something in the computer realm. The majority of my work is with Windows servers. However, it has started to also include Linux machines. Lately I’ve become the Nagios “expert” within our company as I work towards creating culture of being proactive vs. reactive in regards to Application/Configuration Management.
